KINGS OF ARMENIA. Tigranes V, circa 6-12. Tetrachalkon (Bronze, 23 mm, 6.29 g, 1 h), Artagigarta (?). Draped bust of Tigranes V to right, wearing five-pointed tiara decorated with four eagles and tied with a diadem. Rev. BAΣΙΛEΩΣ / TIΓPANOY - MEΓAΛOY Herakles standing front, head to left, leaning right on club and holding lion's skin draped over his left arm. Kovacs 181. Rare and in exceptional condition for the issue. Struck on a very broad flan and with a most elegant portrait. Minor traces of overstriking on the obverse, otherwise, good very fine.
